Brothers,
Spring is upon us and amongst everything else, that means Bass Lake is
right around the corner. As we prepare for our annual gathering, I’d
like to take some time to update the general broth-erhood as to what’s
been going on in our Alumni Corporation.
We held our annual re-treat in San Luis Obispo the first weekend in
March. At the retreat we spent time discussing the House Project,
Capital Campaign, Recruitment, as well as mentoring with the actives. It
was enjoyable to have the actives present to participate in the
discussion. I believe everyone had a good time. The weekend also was the
initiation of the 114th Pledge Class, and we hosted their Rite 2 dinner
on Saturday night. It was nice to meet our new brothers, and we also
got to meet one of the young man’s parents, who made the trip down from
Santa Cruz to watch his Rite 2 ceremony.
Coming out of the weekend, we are committed more than ever to build
the best fraternity house possible at our current property in San Luis
Obispo. We met with a commercial realtor in SLO during our retreat, and
we are confident that we have a great location, and our plans that have
already been approved by the city will allow us to build a great,
functional fraternity house.
